The Neopackaging Model NBM-300 Blister Machine

 

The Neopackaging model NBM-300 thermoforming/thermosealing blister machine is the ideal solution for packaging products into large blisters and for packaging environments with high production rate requirements.  
With its modular design and inherent flexibility, the NBM-300 is designed for packaging small and medium sized consumer products such as pharmaceuticals, tooth brushes, razors, deodorants, lighters, batteries and pencils. In most cases, product changeover only involves changing the machine tooling.
Product feeding is performed manually and the sealing and cutting stations are automatic. The NBM-300 allows for the production of the following types of kinds of blisters: 
Blisters made of thermoformable material with flexible lidding material fed by a reel.
Blisters made of thermoformable material with flexible lidding material,l fed by a reel, with internal card.
Blisters made of thermoformable material with a sealed-on card as a lid.
Film indexing is accomplished by servomotors. 
The NBM 300 is designed to cGMP guidelines with a stainless steel cabinet and acrylic covers equipped with safety interlocks and security alarms. Control is accomplished by use of a user friendly touch panel communicating with a PLC that controls the machine.
Thermo-formable film is  automatically fed into the heating area. The film is heated by contact with which the upper and lower pneumatically-driven, non-stick heating plates with independent temperature control. After the film is heated, the blisters are then formed using positive pressure. The forming station is driven by servomotors and completely enclosed and safety interlocked. Tooling is easily accessible from the front of the forming station. Options for plug-assisted forming for large/very deep pockets and cold forming systems for Alu-Alu laminates are available. 
The variable length loading zone (useful standard length is 1900mm) affords the possibility of accommodating a wide variety of accessories without changing the blister platform. Loading systems with powder aspiration, feeders, vision inspection and pinhole detection systems are available as options.
The sealing station uses temperature and pressure to seal the upper and lower films. Tooling is easily accessible through the front of the sealing station, facilitating easy product changeover. Perimeter sealing can take up to 20% of total sealing area. 
A cooling circuit, which is ready to be connected to tap water or an optional closed loop cooler, is included.
The die cutting system utilizes an idler to automatically maintain the correct, constant  tension on the material.  An automatic waste strip collector driven by a gear motor is included.
